How Bob will deliver positive change in Hurstville Ward

Well-Planned and Sustainable Development

With housing reforms playing a major role in the next term of Council, I will use my planning expertise and knowledge to advocate that development in Georges River is well-planned and balanced, to accommodate our growing population while maintaining the livability of Georges River.

New developments should blend seamlessly with existing neighbourhoods, provide diversity and enhance community appeal.

Robust infrastructure—transport, schools, parks, and healthcare—is crucial. I will advocate for essential investments from State and Federal governments to support this development.

Development should be diverse and high quality, offering a range of housing options from single-family homes, villas and townhouses, to modern apartments. This ensures everyone can find a home that suits their lifestyle.

By focusing on diversity, integration, infrastructure, and strategic planning, I will aim for Georges River to have vibrant, livable communities for all residents now and in the future.

Beverly Hills

Getting the best outcome for residents with the Beverly Hills Master Plan

The Beverly Hills shopping precinct is in desperate need of revitalisation. Since amalgamation there has been little investment in the amenity of Beverly Hills by Georges River Council.

Bob will advocate for innovative concepts to make the shopping precinct a desirable destination for shoppers and diners alike, to provide immediate benefit and revitalisation to the shopping centre.

The Beverly Hills Master Plan, has long-term plans to revitalise Beverly Hills, which is based on the premise of increasing densities, however it includes no plans for the immediate revitalisation of the shopping precinct. Bob will fight for a balance of both.

Advocating for a Vibrant and Inclusive Night-Time Economy in Hurstville and Beverly Hills

I will champion the stimulation of Hurstville and Beverly Hill's night-time economy to support local businesses and provide residents with vibrant outdoor social opportunities.

By promoting extended business hours, organising multicultural community events, and enhancing public spaces, we can create a lively environment that celebrates our diverse cultures.

This inclusive approach will not only boost our local economy but also bring our community closer together, fostering a strong sense of unity and shared experience.
