PETITION: Say NO to the overdevelopment of Mortdale Shopping Village.

Georges River Council is planning to upzone large portions of Mortdale Shopping Village as depicted in the Mortdale Town Centre Masterplan.

These plans must be stopped because:

  • An extra 969 units will crammed into Mortdale Shopping Village and surrounding streets;

  • The village atmosphere of Mortdale Shopping Village will be lost forever with 9 storey developments along Morts Rd and surrounding streets;

  • People who currently live in residential homes will have their amenity adversely impacted with high-rise mixed commercial and residential flat buildings built opposite.
